A new ambition for the French Capital of Design

Kortrijk has been recognised as a UNESCO Creative City of Design. There are 43 UNESCO design cities worldwide, from Detroit (USA) to Geelong (AU) and from Helsinki (FI) to Cape Town (ZA). In this network, we learn from each other to use design methodologies to design and organise our cities even better. During the WONDER Creativity Festival, we would like to introduce you to the French design capital Saint-Etienne. They are currently working on a new creative district there: inclusive and sustainable, with a rich cultural and leisure offer, a strong education and research campus, a centre for innovation, and a hub of creative industries.
