Some prefer shade, while others seek the open air. Some thrive by the water, while others find their home in fertile soil. Some prefer man-made structures, while others house themselves in the branches of trees.
This installation celebrates the intrinsic beauty of our diverse world and what already exists. The objects on display here are forgotten treasures found at the back of a farmer's barn at Domaine de Graux - artefacts too intriguing to throw away, waiting for a new purpose.
As time passes, nature begins to claim these objects
reclaim them. Insects and animals find refuge in this reclaimed space. This makes us think about what happens when we extend our care to these overlooked places. The seemingly disorganised objects find a new life when they are carefully arranged, a new structure that values undefined space, not for humans, but for nature.

Our mission?
To demonstrate the benefits of large-scale agroecology for farmers and the environment. We aim to share our knowledge, inspire and support farmers in the transition from conventional to more sustainable and regenerative practices. By nurturing the soil, we not only cultivate healthier land but also produce more nutritious food. We are also an oasis of calm, where everyone can reconnect with nature and the food system
Theo De Meyer
Ghent (BE)
Theo De Meyer is an architect living and working in Ghent (BE). De Meyer moves between architecture, design and the arts, often in projects that bring the different disciplines together. He plays with context and scale, interprets and transforms, creating new worlds from building.
Besides being an architect, De Meyer is also a teacher. Collaboration plays an important role in his practice, across the boundaries of disciplines. Thus, with Doorzon interior architects, he forms the core of the modular collective Stand Van Zaken: creators of furniture and architecture through collaborations with specialists in various fields. Stand Van Zaken supports the creation and development of objects, buildings and ideas from a shared enthusiasm.
