BLUE - sign of the night
A festival featuring visual work, concerts, dance and a lecture.
The exhibition BLUE exudes vastness and shows writhing signs from a blowing night. After Desertscapes and Ademrood, BLAUW will be the final part of a triptych in Salon Radical built around female Tunisian weavings from the collection of art historian Paul Vandenbroeck
The mysterious and wide-ranging colour blue is very present in the paintings by Koen Broucke and Linda Vinck and the anonymous textiles. Moreover, they are all characterised by a particular attention to detail. In Vermeersch's funny drawings and dance, there is the erotic nod to the female body.
Musicians Bertel Schollaert, Bert Jacobs and Eric Thielemans are also inspired by 'signs of the night', occasionally interacting with dance by Pé Vermeersch and/or Mira Walschot. Salon Radical offers another offshoot after Wonder Kortrijk on 11 and 12 November.
